CEO: Issel Anne L. Lim, PhD

Issel's day job involves translating research from scientific jargon to plain language, writing talking points for Congressional testimony, and implementing projects in strategic planning, program evaluation, and data analysis/visualization. She was a AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow in the Big Data & Analytics Program from 2014-2015. She now works for the Federal government.

Previously, as a postdoctoral research fellow in Radiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Issel conducted clinical neuroimaging studies, using MRI to characterize patients with schizophrenia and neurodegenerative diseases, as compared to demographically-matched control volunteers. She has a PhD in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After completing quite a few projects incorporating academics into art, she created this site to showcase multi-media outlets for the nerd(s) within. Issel has expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, GoLive, InDesign, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, CSS, HTML, MATLAB, Google Apps, and a slew of other software. She has also created software programs and websites for the Association for Women in Science (Greater Baltimore Chapter) and the National Research Resource for Quantitative Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Kristen received her law degree from the University of Baltimore and her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the College of William and Mary. She has extensive experience in writing essays, short stories, memos, as well as many more formats. She also conducts historical and legal research.
